Acer and Intel Team Up With Tiesto and Believe Entertainment Group on Season Two of “In The Booth” — Bringing the Public a Touch Closer to the World-s Biggest DJ

SAN JOSE, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/22/13 — Acer and Intel Corporation today announced they have teamed up with Tiësto and Believe Entertainment Group for season two of “In The Booth,” the documentary-style series that goes behind the scenes with world-famous DJ/Producer Tiësto, to give fans an up-close, personal look at the electronic dance music superstar-s life and the global movement he has fuelled.

For season two, live on YouTube (), the fans themselves helped shape much of the show-s content, often by submitting questions and ideas for the series directly to Tiësto. This has helped to make this season a more personal look into who Tiësto is when he-s not on stage, with a focus on storytelling and interactive pieces, bringing viewers a touch closer to Tiësto.

Season two of “In The Booth” features ten episodes filmed across three continents. The episodes will be released in two batches of five episodes. The first half of season two follows Tiësto as he hangs out with fans at his new -home- at Hakkasan Las Vegas, takes a fan-guided tour of London, gives us a look into the making of his next album and shares his love of Stockholm and why it inspired an album. Exploring beyond his limits, a highlight from the first half of this season is Tiësto becoming an ordained minister and performing a Las Vegas wedding for two fans, selected from among tens of thousands of submissions from couples who wanted the opportunity to be married by him.

The second half of season two sees Tiësto pushing himself even further. We follow him on his trip to Asia with behind the scenes and fan footage from concerts in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia — we even see him race exotic supercars in Las Vegas.

The Acer and Intel partnership with Tiësto and Believe Entertainment Group for “In The Booth” arose out of a common passion for innovation, exploration and technology. The global dance music scene has experienced an explosion in growth, with dance music sales increasing 36 percent in 2012, the fastest of any genre(1). Tiësto is one of the pioneers of dance music-s expansion, innovating styles, exploring new locations and bringing his fans a touch closer to the action with concerts all over the world and through “In The Booth.” Digital studio Believe Entertainment Group is co-executive producing “In the Booth” along with Tiësto.

The partnership was all about allowing Tiësto to get hands on with Acer-s latest touch products. The products provided an easy way for Tiësto to get a touch closer to his fans as well as exploring the cities he visits. “The Acer and Intel brands are all about exploring beyond limits and that is exactly what this year has been about for me, both geographically and musically,” Tiësto says. “The partnership really pushed me to explore the cities I visited, and the touch devices from Acer and Intel gave me the tools to plan, capture and share those experiences with my fans.”

On a trip to London, Tiësto uses his Iconia W3 tablet to capture the street art that decorates the East. In Stockholm, he plans the day-s sightseeing tour from the back seat of his car on his Iconia W5 convertible tablet. During the series viewers will see Tiësto with his portable Aspire S7 Ultrabook, he uses it day to day, for his personal and professional needs, whether he is checking his latest chart position, chatting on Skype with a friend and producer from Vancouver or just answering some questions from fans about his latest album. The fans are also getting in on the action, in Hong Kong and the Philippines, Acer offered selected fans the chance to film the concerts using Acer devices, that content will form part of the Asian Episode of “In The Booth.”

David Breust, Acer Global Director Brand, Media and Partner Marketing, said, “-In the Booth- has given us a chance to collaborate on some great original branded content that shows how important our are to people-s everyday lives. During the series we gave Tiësto a range of our latest and most innovative touchscreen tablets, notebooks and Ultrabooks to use. Technology and mobility are critical to Tiësto-s everyday life. So our partnership aligned perfectly to his personal and professional needs. More importantly we wanted to demonstrate how Acer is helping bring Tiësto -A Touch Closer- to his fans.”

For Intel, the campaign was about showing what was inside and “-In the Booth- allows Tiësto-s fans to look inside his life and craft like never before,” said Intel-s Jonathan Falker, Intel Partner Marketing, “and the DJ makes for a very exciting tour guide. We wanted to supply Tiësto with the best Acer and Intel technology and see where he could take us.”

The Acer and Intel partnership with Tiësto runs until May 2014, and goes beyond the “In The Booth” series. In June 2013, Acer and Intel collaborated to create a unique advertising campaign, featuring Tiësto, to promote the convertible Aspire P3 Ultrabook. The centerpiece of that campaign was a 3 minute video hosted on YouTube which generated in excess of 10 million views. The video tells the story of Vernon, Tiësto-s slightly nerdy assistant who, thanks to his Acer Aspire P3, comes to Tiësto-s rescue at a concert.
