Solarflare to Speak at STAC Summits in New York, Chicago and London

IRVINE, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/24/13 — , the leading provider of application-intelligent networking I/O, today announced three executives will speak at the STAC Summits in New York, Chicago and London.

Davor Frank, Senior Solutions Architect, will speak at , Bruce Tolley, Vice President of Solutions and Outbound Marketing, at , and David Riddoch, Chief Architect, at . All three executives will participate in innovation roundups focused on “Big Workloads” (big compute/big data tasks) and “Fast Workloads” (low-latency and/or high-throughput real-time workloads).

Solarflare executives will dive into the virtualized switch architecture of the new SFN7000 series of 10GbE server adapters and discuss its ability to handle state of the art virtualized workloads, including running OpenOnload. The team will also reference the value proposition of OpenOnload for big data and NoSQL applications, as well as provide an overview of precision time protocol solutions.

Davor Frank is a senior solutions architect at Solarflare Communications. Having joined in October of 2011, he brings to Solarflare over a decade of experience in Investment Banking technology. Davor is currently responsible for application and systems consulting, providing architecture guidance to customers looking to implement Solarflare technologies in their low latency trading infrastructure. Previously, Davor had worked as a systems engineer at Deutsche Bank, more recently focusing on design, implementation and operational support of ultra-low latency systems.

Bruce Tolley is responsible for solutions and technical marketing at Solarflare for scale out networking applications. Prior to joining Solarflare, Bruce was a senior product line manager at Cisco Systems where he launched Layer 2/3/4, Metro Ethernet and 10 Gigabit switching. Formerly Study Group Chair of the IEEE 802.3aq 10GBASE-LRM standards project, Bruce has been a frequent contributor to the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standards projects and a frequent speaker at industry events such as IEEE 802.3 Working Group, the Securities Technology Analysis Center (STAC) Performance Summit, and Interop. He holds an MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and a PhD from Stanford University.

David Riddoch is chief architect of Solarflare which he co-founded in July 2002. Previously, David was the architect and lead developer of software for the CLAN high performance network project at AT&T Laboratories Cambridge. David holds a first class degree in computer science and a Ph.D. in high performance networking from the University of Cambridge.
