Aconex Names Blaine Mathieu Chief Marketing Officer

SAN BRUNO, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/30/13 — Aconex, provider of the world-s most widely used project collaboration solutions for the construction, infrastructure, power, mining, and oil and gas industries, has appointed Blaine Mathieu as chief marketing officer. Reporting to Aconex CEO Leigh Jasper, Mathieu is responsible for the company-s global marketing functions, including strategy, product marketing, demand generation, online marketing, and communications.

Mathieu brings to Aconex more than 25 years of management experience in marketing, product management, sales and business development, operations, and acquisitions. Previously, he was chief products officer at Mindjet, where he led go-to-market and product planning for the company-s transition to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model. He also served as chief marketing officer at Lyris, a leading provider of SaaS integrated marketing automation solutions.

Prior to Lyris, Mathieu was general manager and vice president, product and strategy, for digital media at Corel Corporation, where he drove integration teams for two acquisitions and helped the company complete a successful initial public offering. Previously, he worked in research and planning at Adobe Systems and as a senior internet analyst at Gartner.

Mathieu holds an M.B.A. degree in Strategy from Athabasca University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Alberta. He founded and ran his first software company while still in his teens.
