Oracle Enhances Oracle Virtual Networking; Expands Software-Defined Infrastructure Capabilities

Oracle today announced new enhancements to to help customers further improve infrastructure performance, reduce cost and complexity, and simplify storage and server connectivity.

Oracle Virtual Networking is the industry-s first and only open architecture data center fabric that simplifies complex data center deployments with a wire-once solution and simple configurations.

Oracle Virtual Networking is the only data center fabric with up to 80 Gb/sec bandwidth to the server that can deliver large server pools with scalable I/O configurations.

: Oracle Virtual Networking now supports Oracle-s full SPARC portfolio, including the SPARC M6-32 server. Customers can take advantage of Oracle-s fastest and most scalable server, which is designed for in-memory computing and offers the highest levels of availability. Oracle Virtual Networking now also supports the Fujitsu M10 server.

Oracle Virtual Networking drivers are now included in and with the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 2, streamlining access without the need to download or install drivers separately.
