Starting in December, Apigee Learn will provide a selection of technical, strategy, and Apigee-specific courses taught by the experts at Apigee and from the Apigee community. Participants can demonstrate their continuing education by displaying Apigee Learn badges in the .
The Apigee Learn platform represents a new breed of learning called “Massive open online courses” (MOOC), which feature highly interactive techniques that have transformed the experience of traditional Web-based training. The MOOC format makes it possible to teach hundreds of thousands of people online successfully.
“Apigee Learn is delivered in -MOOC- format so that everyone participating in the app economy — from software developers to digital business executives — can have easy access to a range of training and education options,” said Chet Kapoor, Apigee CEO. “We are excited to offer a completely open program that can reach an unlimited number of Apigee customers, partners and community members.”
Apigee Learn courses will be delivered over an eight-week period, presented in consumable video chunks. They will include interactive quizzes and other built-in activities to encourage participants to remain engaged and track their progress. Apigee Learn forums will encourage students to participate in online collaborative learning.
