Evoluce TWO controls Microsoft Surface SDK applications with Kinect

The Evoluce TWO combines the power of the Kinect sensor with the amazing possibilities of surface computing experiences. Up to four users can work, play and learn on the 46” true multi-touch LCD at the same time as it detects more than 60 simultaneous inputs.

User can collaborate by controlling photos, videos, documents, maps and custom applications created with the new Microsoft® Surface® 2.0 SDK. The 3D depth-sensing technology of the Kinect sensor in combination with the intelligent MIM 3.0 multi-touch software unleashes amazing possibilities for a multitude of multi-user applications that will excite users and customers.

With the Microsoft® Surface® 2.0 SDK, software developers can easily create applications to take advantage of the next generation Evoluce TWO multi-touch device. The development platform delivers familiarity and innovation opportunities as it is possible to build upon Windows 7, NET 4.0 and WPF 4.0. The Surface SDK integrates with Visual Studio 2010 and developers benefit from consistency in experience across Windows 7 devices. Multi-user, multi-touch and object interaction enable unique innovative experiences.

The slim display-design enables large interactive installations in many areas like office, retail, digital signage, exhibitions, gaming, museums, medical applications and education. With a depth of less than 18.5cm the unit is easily integrated into horizontal spaces or may be used as a stand-alone table.

The scratch-resistant front glass offers excellent haptic touch feeling for smooth interaction. The 3D-sensor is mounted 100 cm above the screen surface and guarantees great performance and the option to control applications with gestures above the screen surface. The setup and depth-sensing technology will also allow to recognize shapes and 3D objects on the screen that makes it possible, for example to detect if a glass of water is full or empty.

The Evoluce TWO is based on a full HD robust NEC digital signage display and is offered with an optional plug & play design with table support and MIM 3.0 pre-installed on a high-performance PC.

The Evoluce TWO is available now with prices starting at EURO 4,995.00 including software.
