US Employment Report From Elance: 55,000 New Freelance Jobs Created in October; Freelancer Earnings up Over 60%

California, Florida and New York remain the leaders for freelance job creation with 11,000, 5,000, and 4,500 respective new jobs created last month, representing 37% of new jobs created.

The number of freelancers looking for work saw significant increases in states with unemployment rates above the national average including Illinois and North Carolina.
