Eucalyptus Systems Announces Participation at AWS re:Invent 2013

Eucalyptus will showcase how to develop applications locally and deploy globally using the combination of Eucalyptus and AWS clouds. : Limited to the first 100 participants, GameDay aims to teach cloud developers how to diagnose, repair and protect against broken cloud applications. In a live competition, teams will build their own loosely coupled, auto-scaling applications on-site. Once applications are built, teams will attempt to break their opponents- systems in the sneakiest and most nefarious ways possible, while simultaneously trying to maintain their own workload. While the majority of these exercises will be run on the AWS cloud, Eucalyptus has been invited to contribute by allowing GameDay participants to run tests on a EucaNUC cloud, demonstrating key AWS API compatibility.

Eucalyptus team members will also be carrying Kindle devices configured to show attendees the Eucalyptus 3.4 User Console and Netflix OSS tools. All re:Invent attendees are encouraged to try out the software right from the cloud in a pack!

Throughout the event, Eucalyptus will give away several USB flash pens with preloaded, allowing individuals to create a mini development and test cloud with 30-minute automated installation pre-configured for CentOS and KVM.
