TPG MTA Client is an add-in product integrated with Microsoft Project. It installs directly on the project manager’s computer and is activated by clicking a button within Microsoft Project. One of the biggest benefits of the tool is that the data are stored within the Microsoft Project project file (.mpp). Unlike other MTA products on the market, TPG MTA Client does not generate a separate file for the MTA data. The information is simply embedded into the project file itself, ensuring that it is immediately available to other Microsoft Project users too. The graphical output of the TPG MTA Client is fully configurable and users can toggle the interface between English and German. It also allows them to view deadlines for each milestone and detect invalid ones.

Milestone Trend Analysis (MTA) is an easy-to-read combination of the history and prognosis of selected project milestones and is used to graphically illustrate time-related discrepancies. The MTA can only deliver meaningful information if the data are always current and if the milestone situation has been updated prior to creating the regular snapshots. MTA helps improve awareness of deadlines among project participants, because they must always update their projects before the snapshot date.
