Media Asset Management, editing projects and task management seamlessly integrated

(arvato Systems) Cologne/Gütersloh – Each and every process involved in the creation of content for TV and broadcast – including Media Asset Management, collaborative editing and even project management – is subject to demands for more efficiency. It is here that the effectiveness of new functionality, created in the collaboration between arvato Systems and Adobe, can be seen. From September 12th to 16th the benefits of this collaboration will be on show in Amsterdam at Europe’s most important TV and broadcast event, IBC 2014.

arvato Systems‘ VPMS – known across the industry as a powerful enterprise Media Asset Management system – offers a huge range of new and useful features as an extension to Adobe Premiere Pro CC. This new combination of products allows users to work in a single application. All relevant MAM elements are available from within the Adobe Premiere Pro CC editor, relying on seamless interaction between editing and Media Asset Management. Edit lists and clip bins are imported from VPMS, while completed items can be sent directly back to the MAM system. A major advantage is that as all the processes take place, the metadata remains unchanged, so that each sequence, no matter how small, retains its original identifying data even after editing.

Further enhancements to the user experience are provided by the integration of arvato Systems’ EditMate – the new software solution for large editing environments – with Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Here, EditMate delivers professional project management functionality to the Adobe Premiere Pro CC application. This means that editing projects can easily be managed by a MAM system and this significantly reduces the possibility of errors during the creation of an item. The integrated template management has shown itself to be particularly useful.

“Adobe customers want to take full advantage of the powerful capabilities available in our tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro CC,” said Simon Williams, director of strategic relations at Adobe. “By Adobe working with arvato Systems, a leader in Media Asset Management, our customers can tap into even more features that further streamline their workflow.”

Ralf Schürmann, CEO of arvato Systems S4M GmbH, sees many common areas between the two companies, especially since the IT organisation already has a history of successful cooperation with Adobe. “With integration with both Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Marketing Cloud, we have daily experience of how this close cooperation benefits our customers. We look forward to further collaborations with Adobe,“ he concludes.
