Iconic Surfing Brand Bunger Surf Shop Adds AudioEye–s Patented Voice Technology to E-Commerce Website and Launches Real-Time Mobile E-Learning and Retail iBeacon Initiatives

TUCSON, AZ — (Marketwired) — 10/02/14 — AudioEye®, Inc. (OTCQB: AEYE) (“AudioEye”) (“the Company”), creator of the Audio Internet® patented audio browsing and automated publishing technology platform, today announced that Bunger Surf Shop has added AudioEye–s technology to its website, thereby allowing users to engage with its online shopping cart experience using patented eyes-free and hands-free accessibility and navigation technology. The application will enable Bunger Surf Shop to complete sales and narrate customers through online shopping experiences and real-time surf instruction via a mobile application available to wireless devices.

Bunger–s Surf museum and shop in Babylon, New York have also contracted with AudioEye to collaborate with Couponicate and Promotion Pod for the development of iBeacon-driven deployments of AudioEye–s voice-enabled consumer experience.

“Quality is what sets Bunger Surf Shop apart, and the engagement of AudioEye is compatible with that tradition in a novel way that is indicative of the true relevance of our technology,” stated Nathaniel Bradley, Chief Executive Officer of AudioEye, Inc. “Receiving percentage-based compensation based on usage of the AudioEye voice shopping cart and the other e-commerce capabilities of our technology expands the scalability of our business model. This is an example of how we believe our platform can enhance every Internet retailer–s e-commerce site in a game-changing way.”

“By encouraging the next generation of surfers to utilize AudioEye–s mobile technology with an application that allows professionals, in their own voices, to communicate on-demand with young and aspiring surfers anytime and anywhere, provides real-time actionable intelligence and instructional content that has not been available until now,” stated Charlie Bunger Sr. of Bunger Surf Shop. “The popularity of surfing is at a rare inflection point, and AudioEye–s technology provides valuable Internet content delivery via a waterproof mobile application. Our plans include a mobile learning system that is aimed at helping novice surfers pick up and learn what it takes to become a professional using –real-time– technology, and for current surfers to develop a skill set that allows for the greater enjoyment of our sport by interacting with the larger surfing community.”

Bunger Surf Shop currently has 4,000 square feet of retail space in Babylon Village, New York and operates a manufacturing facility in West Babylon. Charlie Bunger, Sr. has long been involved in crusading for better beach access and sponsoring surfing contests. In 1990, he opened the Long Island Surfing Museum and in 1996 was among the first twenty-three inductees into the East Coast Surf Legends Hall of Fame (“ECSLHF”). Greg Noll formed the ECSLHF, and the first group of new members also included such well-knowns as Dick Catri, Claude Codgen, Mimi Munro, Jack Murphy, Mike Tabeling, Gary Propper and Bruce Valluzzi. Over the years, Bunger Surf Shop has attracted a number of team riders who were well known throughout the nation. In the early –60s, Eric Eastman, Bob Hawkins and George Fisher rode for Bunger, and in the late –60s Rollie Eisenberg, Hank Heckel, and Jim Hanley became known locally as the Bunger Rebellion (a fitting name, considering the turbulent times). In the mid—70s, the late Ricky Rasmussen was a Bunger surf team member; his short life was highlighted by winning the 1973 East Coast Championships (junior division) and the 1974 U.S. Surfing Championships (men–s division).

Just as Charlie–s first store was in 1962, today–s Bunger Surf Shop is a great place to hang out, talk about Right Coast surfing with locals, check out great memorabilia and buy state-of-the-art surf products. The surfing museum Charlie opened in 1990 is now a part of the shop and features classic old photos, an original Tom Blake paddleboard and examples of the Bunger family–s collection of some 150 vintage boards.
