EtherCAT Master Stack for Freescale i.MX 6 Dual Core with Linux

acontis technologies GmbH of Weingarten, a leading provider of EtherCAT® software, now provides support for the Freescale integrated i.MX6 Ethernet controller.
The i.MX series provides a scalable multicore platform that includes single-, dual- and quad-core families based on the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture. Together with EC-Master and its support for the i.MX 6 embedded Ethernet controller it provides the ideal platform to develop EtherCAT master devices based on a single hardware design.
EtherCAT is an open Real-time Ethernet based fieldbus technology which even more than 10 years after its invention still shows high growth rates in the market. To support customers who use embedded platforms participating in this technology EC-Master was specifically optimized to provide high performance on modern embedded ARM platforms like the Freescale i.MX series.
