Canon Announces New Wireless Storage, PowerShot Cameras, Video Cameras, Printers and More for the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas

The new product selection includes: a 1TB wireless storage device called Connect Station (CS100); three new camcorders and five new models of PowerShot cameras; two small-office wireless printers; and a new DSLR kit comprised of the popular Canon EOS 6D and the EF 24-105mm IS STM lens. The Canon Connect Station, also called CS100, provides 1TB of storage exclusively for photos and videos. To use the device, simply tap it with a compatible camera or camcorder* to automatically import new images using NFC and Wi-Fi® connectivity. Additional connection options include SD/CF card slots and USB port for importing photos and videos from Canon cameras and camcorders released in and after 2010. Securing backup of the device is easy using USB with an external HDD.

Connect Station is more than just storage, though. With the CS100, users can view photos and videos in clear, crisp Full HD on an HDTV via a convenient HDMI cable connection and using the included Remote Control CS-RC1. Easily manage and sort photos and videos by albums, date or device name with the user-friendly menu, and even view or upload/download photos from compatible smartphones, tablets or PCs using a web browser. The CS100 supports multiple file formats including JPG, Canon–s RAW file format called CR2, MP4, MOV and AVCHD, and will show a JPG thumbnail file of CR2 images.

With the Canon CS100, users get more options to send their images places. Using compatible PIXMA/SELPHY printers (that support PictBridge – Wireless LAN), wireless printing is simple. Users can also send or receive photos and videos with another Canon Connect Station CS100 device, and upload them to SNS through Canon iMAGE GATEWAY. Three new models of Vixia camcorders have been announced, all three featuring the Canon 3.28 MP Full HD CMOS image sensor, Advanced Baby Mode to select the optimal settings to capture baby–s daily growth, and Full HD video recording with the DIGIC DV 4 Image processor for outstanding imaging performance. Additionally, all three offer slow and fast motion recording, allowing users to record fast motion at up to 12-x and slow motion and 1/2x.
