Netlist to Demonstrate Best-in-Class Performance of Its NVvault(R) DDR3 NVDIMM at the SNIA Storage Industry Summit

IRVINE, CA — (Marketwired) — 01/19/15 — Netlist, Inc. (NASDAQ: NLST), a leading provider of high performance and hybrid memory solutions for the cloud computing and storage markets, today announced its participation at the Storage Industry Summit taking place at the Sainte Claire Hotel in San Jose, CA on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. In addition to several thought-provoking panels, there will be a live demonstration of Netlist–s NVvault® DDR3 NVDIMM. The demonstration will run during the entire conference and will be staffed by product experts to address inquiries about performance, applications, health monitoring and beyond.

Over the past 7 years, Netlist has shipped almost half million units of NVDIMMs — more than all of its competitors combined. Having pioneered the NVDIMM and its enablement on the memory channel, Netlist also holds seminal intellectual property on the technology. Non-Volatile DIMM (NVDIMM) is a dual in-line memory module that appears to the host system as a standard JEDEC Registered DIMM during normal operation while having the persistence of Flash. The NVDIMM provides the performance, latency, and integrity of DRAM during DDR3 operation.

The NVvault® NVDIMM incorporates DDR3 DRAM, MLC Flash, control logic and an energy source to retain critical in-memory data through unexpected power loss events, system crashes or planned shutdowns. In the event of an unexpected power loss or system crash, the critical data residing in the DRAM is saved to Flash where it is safely stored with power from an on-board supercapacitor. When system power is returned, the critical data stored in the Flash is restored to the DRAM.

Netlist, Inc. designs and manufactures high-performance, logic-based memory subsystems for server and storage applications for cloud computing. Netlist–s flagship products include NVvault and EXPRESSvault family of hybrid memory products that significantly accelerate system performance and provide mission critical fault tolerance, HyperCloud®, a patented memory technology that breaks traditional performance barriers, and a broad portfolio of industrial Flash and specialty memory subsystems including VLP (very low profile) DIMMs and Planar-X RDIMMs. Netlist has steadily invested in and grown its worldwide IP portfolio, which now includes 81 issued and pending patents in the areas of high performance memory and hybrid memory technologies.

Netlist develops technology solutions for customer applications in which high-speed, high-capacity, small form factor and efficient heat dissipation are key requirements for system memory. These customers include OEMs and hyperscale datacenter operators that design and build servers, storage systems and high-performance computing clusters, engineering workstations and telecommunications equipment. Founded in 2000, Netlist is headquartered in Irvine, CA with manufacturing facilities in Suzhou, People–s Republic of China. Learn more at .
