The ModiFace Mirror is a platform for simulating makeup effects on a live video of a user using iOS devices and in-store kiosks. In addition to the iOS availability, a special retail version of the technology is available for hair salons, beauty brands, and retailers. The retail version enables glance-based recommendation and previewing of products that are matched to each person–s face as soon as they look towards the kiosk. This technology maps the user–s face in less than a second to find their ideal look. ModiFace Mirror then shows the products used in the look along with a live preview — all of which happens without any required user action. If the user steps towards the kiosk, then the full interface opens up allowing for further customization and look exploration.
