Versal Joins Google for Education Partner Program

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 04/02/15 — , a new way for anyone to create interactive online learning experiences, today announced it has become a Google for Education Partner and is working to integrate within a broad selection of classroom solutions.

Versal offers teachers an online publishing platform to create highly interactive courses, lessons and homework assignments for their students. In January, the company launched its first , empowering teachers to share their creations directly with students via Chromebooks and the Chrome browser.

Versal is also in the process of integrating with Google Apps for Education — enabling teachers to create courses within Google Apps and save them to a central Google Drive folder accessible from any device.

To become a partner with Google for Education, Versal participated in an extensive process over several months that included teacher testing and internal review by the Google team.

“Our teachers are very enthusiastic about Google–s education product lineup. We–re delighted to integrate within the Google ecosystem and make it even easier for teachers to create fun and interactive lessons,” said , co-founder and CEO at Versal.

Freund continued, “Blended learning — the concept of creating complementary in-class and online learning experiences — offers teachers tremendous flexibility to better engage students who have been raised in a digital world. Individual tools need to integrate with one another to help teachers create a seamless experience for students, and we are happy to work with Google in these early days of education innovation.”

Versal is a new publishing platform — free and open to anyone with knowledge and the desire to share it. Versal is ideal for individual teachers, educational institutions and organizations that want to create online courses, lessons, product tutorials, training courses and more. Based in San Francisco, Calif., the company first began pilot testing its course creator and gadget technology in July 2013. For more information visit or connect with us on and .
