Cellebrite Introduces UFED Field Series to Securely Distribute Mobile Forensic Workloads to the Field

PETAH TIKVA, ISRAEL — (Marketwired) — 04/08/15 — Cellebrite, the leader in mobile data forensics extraction, decoding and analysis solutions, is extending immediate access to mobile forensic data to field personnel with the launch of its UFED Field Series. Platform agnostic, this frontline software solution allows officers to simply connect a mobile device to the new UFED InField Kiosk, in-car workstation, laptop or tablet and conduct a forensically sound, logical extraction of device texts, call logs, and emails. The innovative time saving solution allows users to quickly view, qualify and act on potential evidence — all while ensuring strict access control and data management.

“To serve and protect has become a complex business, and the need for collaboration and information sharing across functions, departments and agencies has turned criminal investigations into a team pursuit,” said Ron Serber, Co-CEO Cellebrite. “Device backlogs are challenging agency resources and adding precious time and significant costs to criminal investigations. The faster field-based personnel can qualify, act on and share actionable data, the faster criminals can be taken off the street.”

UFED FIELD SERIES

The UFED Field solution components unify workflows between the field and lab, reducing backlogs by enabling networked collaboration and analysis across the entire investigative team. This new suite of software and hardware solutions enables personnel at every level to efficiently gather, process and act on the critical data that will help speed investigations. When a crime occurs, officers can apply real-time insights to a case, along with the qualified mobile data evidence to support it, allowing lab examiners to immediately focus on more in-depth data extractions and analysis.

A simplified, intuitive interface allows users to:

The UFED Field Series includes two distinct workflow options — preview/qualify and intelligence gathering/reporting – and will soon be available on a number of form factors, the first of which is a self-service kiosk.

“Now that mobile device evidence has reached critical mass, agencies have no choice but to evaluate current processes. Device backlogs – of even days or weeks – put criminal cases in jeopardy,” added Serber. “By enabling simplified data extraction and analysis capabilities in the field, the UFED Field Series delivers new and improved workflows and the actionable intelligence necessary to focus forensic examinations, reduce device backlogs and shorten case cycle times.”
