2nd Watch Achieves AWS Managed Services Partner Status Following Rigorous Audit

SEATTLE, WA — (Marketwired) — 04/09/15 — is among the first AWS Partner Network (APN) companies approved into the AWS Managed Service Program, announced last November at AWS re:Invent. This significant achievement requires APN Partners pass an independent third-party audit of their AWS Managed Service capabilities. 2nd Watch has been an since 2013, and has handled some of the largest AWS customer deployments.

The AWS Managed Service Partner designation is granted to APN Partners that possess deep AWS knowledge in conjunction with IT Service Management capabilities to deliver cloud-managed services. These APN Partners have demonstrated previous customer success on AWS and need to consistently demonstrate their ongoing customer obsession.

The AWS Managed Service Program validates an APN Partner–s AWS knowledge and skills, business practices, and comprehensive AWS Cloud management lifecycle capabilities. APN MSP Partners who pass this audit must demonstrate excellence in multi-service AWS architectures, solution design, application migration, security management, customer satisfaction and other IT Service Management processes.

“The AWS Managed Service Program is designed for APN Partners like 2nd Watch, who have demonstrated expertise across AWS Cloud offerings along with ongoing monitoring and management of their customers– environments,” says Terry Wise, Vice President of Worldwide Partner Ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “We are happy to welcome 2nd Watch as an inaugural APN Partner in our community of high-value APN Partners who meet the rigorous third-party validation audit we have established as part of the program.”

“Being among the first official AWS Managed Service Partners means a great deal to us, but it will especially benefit our current and future customers when it comes to innovation in the cloud,” says Jeff Aden, VP of Marketing and Co-Founder at 2nd Watch. “This should give our customers confidence and another data point of our experience in delivering the best talent and tools for designing, managing and optimizing their AWS environment.”

“We–ve worked with 2nd Watch side by side on our journey to the cloud,” says Vimal Thomas, VP, Information Technology Division, at Yamaha. “When you–re moving core infrastructure and applications to AWS, it–s imperative to have a knowledgeable APN Partner that can help with the full process of design and planning through migration and then ongoing management and optimization. This latest recognition from AWS in the form of the MSP audit is further confirmation that we made the right choice in working with AWS as a strategic cloud services provider.”
