Audio Video Systems Opens New Office in Honolulu, Hawaii

CHANTILLY, VA — (Marketwire) — 07/28/11 — Audio Video Systems, Inc. (AVS), a leading systems integration firm for government, military and commercial organizations, has opened a new regional office in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii. The new office will focus on working closely with existing and future clients within the state of Hawaii and the Asia-Pacific region. The company-s expansion into Hawaii was also precipitated by current and previous work the company has undertaken at U.S. Government and Military facilities over the last few years.

“There is a substantial amount of growth not only across the U.S. but in other U.S.-based locations around the world for the services we provide,” said Peter Barthelson, Owner and President of AVS. “We think this is the next logical step in our planned expansion into new regions and markets. It also allows us to have people nearby to provide customer service and on-site support.”

AVS is currently working on the design and build of some military facilities in Hawaii and has done other work in the region including the design and build of the U.S. Marine Forces Pacific Command Operations Center, which received the “Best Government AV Project (Federal)” audiovisual (AV) installation award in 2008 by one of the leading industry publications.

“Our years of experience with the highest levels of government and military organizations allow us to consistently provide our services and solutions to similar organizations around the world,” said Michele Ferreira, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AVS.

AVS is headquartered in the Washington, D.C. region, and has recently begun opening regional offices in locations across the U.S. The Hawaii expansion is another of many recent milestones for AVS. Several months ago, the company recently opened its first regional office in Huntsville, AL. The Hawaii office allows AVS to have a presence on both coasts of the country. The company has experienced significant growth over the last 18 months, reporting its highest annual revenue in 2010 and has won many industry awards and local business awards in the D.C. region. Last summer, AVS moved its headquarters to a newly constructed 72,000 square foot facility in Chantilly, Virginia, which the company owns and operates.
