DURHAM, NC — (Marketwired) — 05/06/15 — Ansible, Inc., the leading provider of simple, agentless IT automation tools for the enterprise, today announced it has appointed Tim Cramer as its new Vice President of Engineering. Cramer, a proven technology leader, will bring his experience building large-scale solutions to extend Ansible–s commercial offerings to the Global 2000.

Cramer joins Ansible from HP where he was responsible for the overall delivery of Helion Eucalyptus Cloud, managing global teams of engineering, support and IT. Formerly Cramer was at Dell where he was responsible for Systems Management and Virtualization products. He was instrumental in helping transform Dell–s software engineering organization with an agile software development model.

Prior to Dell, Cramer spent over a decade at Sun Microsystems in software development, testing and performance with direct management of over 300 employees worldwide.

“Tim brings over two decades of enterprise software experience to Ansible, and we are fortunate to have his talent on board as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Saïd Ziouani, CEO of Ansible. “Rapid, global adoption of Ansible over the past year affirms that Ansible is quickly becoming the standard language of DevOps because of its unique combination of simplicity and power.”

In this role, Cramer will ensure that Ansible–s enterprise product, Ansible Tower, will evolve to continue to meet the growing control, security and delegation needs of enterprise customers. Additionally, Cramer will seek to ensure that Ansible–s open source codebase will be driven by the innovation that comes from the vibrant and growing Ansible community.

Ansible is the simplest way to automate IT. Ansible provides enterprise-ready solutions for automating apps, systems and cloud resources for IT organizations, based on the most popular open source IT automation project on GitHub.
