In today–s fast-paced business world, it–s more important than ever for employees to be able to communicate with their business partners in real time, regardless of their UC platforms. UC Exchange makes that level of collaboration possible.

Corporate end-users can use UC Exchange to easily find, connect and collaborate with their peers in partner organizations. Once those connections are made, end users can then take advantage of real-time instant messaging, presence and multi-user chat — regardless of underlying UC platforms. Together, UC Exchange users send upwards of 1 billion messages through NextPlane–s cloud-based service each month.

What–s more, thanks to the company–s recently launched any-to-any , users can now easily escalate Skype for Business chat sessions to native voice or video calls with any federated peer or colleague on a Cisco, IBM, Broadsoft or Genband platform, among others. And beyond that, UC Exchange is unique in that it supports Lync Online as part of Office 365 (which will ultimately become Skype for Business, too).

“NextPlane remains committed to giving knowledge workers the tools they need to communicate and collaborate efficiently and effectively with all their external business partners,” says Farzin Shahidi, founder and CEO of NextPlane. “We are excited to support Microsoft Skype for Business federation. This new offering ensures that our customers who also use Microsoft will retain the ability to collaborate in real time with their federated partners.”

In addition to Skype for Business, UC Exchange also supports the following platforms: Microsoft Office® 365, Lync 2013 and 2010, OCS 2007 R1 and R2; Cisco WebEx Messenger, Unified Communication Manager IM and Presence Service and Jabber XCP; IBM Sametime; Unify OpenScape®; Broadsoft UC-One®; GENBAND EXPERiUS; and OpenFire.
