The SmartMetric Biometric Fingerprint Activated Credit and Debit Card Uses Your Fingerprint to Turn the Card on Rather Than Relying on Easily Hacked PIN Numbers

NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 06/05/15 — SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME) – Reliance on PIN numbers and computer generated codes or tokens has proven vulnerable to data thieves that use the security weaknesses in the credit card payments system to steal billions of dollars annually. It is reported that over $14 billion was lost last year to credit card fraud, leaving not only the consumer vulnerable to their personal data being stolen but having to pay higher prices after retailers increase their prices to shoppers to cover the cost of this gigantic level of losses. Add to this the cost incurred by banks directly from card fraud who also then pass on these losses to the consumer in higher bank fees.

The need for a better card security technology is self-evident. This is why SmartMetric has invested a huge effort in creating a payments card that has embedded biometrics using a card users own fingerprint to validate the card user and turn on the card. With the biometric electronics inside the card, the card user–s fingerprint never leaves their card and is never stored on a central computer. You become the key rather than easily hacked PINs and codes.
