TPG The Project Group “Finalist” for the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award 2015

The recognition as Finalist for the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award confirms TPG The Project Group’s position as one of the world’s leading providers of project and portfolio management using Microsoft technology. With the partner awards, Microsoft honors a selection of its partners once a year to acknowledge excellent and innovative solutions based on its own technology. An important criterion for Microsoft is that the solutions deliver tangible value to customers.

TPG TeamManager is an app for SharePoint 2013. The tool enables managers to plan absences, non-project related line activities, and resource commitments for projects. It provides configurable traffic light indicators to show the resources’ workloads and the project commitment status in a capacity utilization chart. The resources’ capacity is drawn from the Project Server’s resource pool. Team managers enter absences and line-related activities manually, enabling them to see how available their staff are for projects. When a project request arrives via the Project Server, team managers can assign staff members to the project based on their real availability.
The free TPG TeamLink shows project managers the resources that have been committed to projects by line managers. They can check the project website any time to see which resources have been allocated to their project.

For the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award 2015, there were a total of more than 2300 entries from 109 countries in 43 categories. Microsoft has a tradition of honoring its best partners at the annual Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, which this year will be held on 12-16 July in Orlando, Florida.
