DUBLIN, IRELAND — (Marketwire) — 08/01/11 — , the most innovative provider of Service Optimization Software (SOS) to tier one communications and media service providers, today announces that Cisco Systems has signed a global reseller agreement for Openet-s complete product suite including , , , , and , all running on Cisco Unified Competing System (UCS). Under the terms of the agreement, Cisco will sell, deploy and support solutions built upon Openet-s software products globally — increasing Openet-s worldwide reach and placing Openet-s 3GPP compliant products within a suite of Policy and Charging Control (PCC) solutions. These solutions include Cisco-s LTE, fixed-mobile convergence, M2M, video and cloud initiatives.

Joint deployments at and in 2010, along with deployments with operators in Japan, Austria and the Netherlands, have driven Openet and Cisco Systems to agree to a comprehensive set of reseller terms covering commercial and technical services, as well as support models. This agreement builds upon seven years of co-selling with Cisco on more than 20 accounts, including Orange and other service providers.

“Openet-s historical — and innovative — stance on the importance of coupling policy with charging has resulted in a bulletproof product that meets operators- evolving needs. By working together to expand that reach and augment existing solutions, Cisco and Openet can provide best-of-breed, end-to-end offerings that truly meet the operator needs of today, and mitigate the challenges of tomorrow.”
