Online Payment Solution Provider Payoneer Chooses Kaminario–s All-Flash Array for Centralized Storage

NEWTON, MA — (Marketwired) — 06/25/15 — Kaminario, the leading all-flash array storage provider for midrange enterprises, today announced that Payoneer, a leading global payments company, has chosen its K2 all-flash array for the company–s data centers. Kaminario will replace the company–s current hybrid storage system, which acted as a bottleneck when carrying out business processes on Payoneer–s online platform.

After Kaminario K2 demonstrated substantial results in EMEA, Payoneer ordered an additional storage system for its data center in New Jersey. Both data centers will act as disaster recovery sites for each other, and upon completion of its installation, Payoneer–s online payment platform, management systems and BI system will completely run on Kaminario K2, consisting of 100 terabytes.

“Payoneer is a growing organization and we are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service that will prevent slowdowns and bottlenecks,” said Yaron Weiss, vice president of IT operations at Payoneer. “We chose Kaminario because of its consistently high capabilities at the customer service level provided in the online transaction system for any workload environment, as well as support for analytical business processes performed by the company–s BI systems. Replacing the storage array was seamless and simple.”

Payoneer chose Kaminario because its K2 is the only all-flash array to both scale up and scale out without performance degradation. In addition, K2 integrates advanced RAID and snapshot technologies that help protect the data in cases of failure or disaster. Kaminario–s storage solution, which includes technologies for volume data reduction, inline compression and deduplication, allows for a larger volume of data to be stored in less storage space, thus bringing significant savings in floor space and power consumption.

“Kaminario–s unique architecture ensures a constant SLA for each type of workload as well as flexible scale-out/scale-up expansion that allows Kaminario to be the solution with the best cost to benefit balance in the industry,” said Ron Davidi, EMEA regional director at Kaminario. “Kaminario allows Payoneer to grow within its worldwide operations without compromising performance and preserving the company–s investment in its storage system.”

Payoneer intensifies global trade by connecting businesses, professionals, countries and currencies through its innovative platform for cross-border payments. Payoneer–s rapid, inexpensive and secure solutions allow companies and professionals in both developed and emerging markets to pay and receive international payments as easily as domestic payments.

Kaminario is the leading provider of enterprise-class all-flash storage, delivering unparalleled cost efficiency, with an average price of $2/GB usable and the industry–s only guaranteed effective capacity. Built from the ground up to take advantage of the most modern flash SSD capabilities, Kaminario K2 is the only product to feature a true scale-out and scale-up architecture that allows organizations to grow capacity and performance based on their needs. The company is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with offices in Yoqneam, Israel, Silicon Valley and New York City, and backed by Sequoia, Pitango, Globespan, Tenaya, Silicon Valley Bank and others.
