Event-Driven Compute Platform Leader Iron.io Continues to Build Enterprise Momentum With Key Executive Hires

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/06/15 — Iron.io, a leading provider of event-driven computing solutions, announced today it has expanded its executive management team with the hire of Jim Conning as VP of engineering and Kris Bondi as VP of global marketing.

Conning joins Iron.io with more than 23 years of technical and engineering management experience, including Fortune 500s Oracle and Charles Schwab as well as startups such as Scribd and Piczo, a social network Conning founded that at its pinnacle was more highly-trafficked than Facebook. Most recently, Conning was SVP of engineering at Dictionary.com, the world–s leading online dictionary. As Iron.io–s VP of engineering, Conning will leverage his expertise building highly-productive globally distributed teams.

Bondi is a seasoned marketing executive who has a proven track record of ramping demand generation and brand efforts to supporting hyper-growth. In her more than 20 years international marketing experience she has worked with many companies with groundbreaking technology including Moka5, TIBCO and Mashery. As VP of global marketing, Bondi will balance building the front end of the marketing and sales pipeline and making Iron.io famous.

In addition to Conning and Bondi joining the Iron.io executive management team, Ivan Dwyer, formerly Iron.io–s partner business development lead, has been promoted to head of business development. In this role, Dwyer will build a team dedicated to Iron.io–s strategic partner relationships with innovative companies like Pivotal, RedHat, and Microsoft Azure. In addition, Dwyer–s team is responsible for integrating the Iron.io platform with its strategic partners– technology as well as third-party services such as Twilio and SendGrid.
