QuickLogic Adds Wearable Sleep / Wake Detection System to Its SenseMe Algorithm Library

SUNNYVALE, CA — (Marketwired) — 12/10/15 — QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), the innovator of ultra-low power programmable sensor processing solutions, today announced the addition of a new sleep / wake detection algorithm to its SenseMe algorithm library. This new algorithm automatically detects when a user is sleeping or awake, and tracks the minutes associated with each state.

In a constantly connected world, sleep disorders can have a serious impact on human health. Increasingly, sleep monitors and wearables are being employed to study and gather data on sleep patterns. QuickLogic–s extensive SenseMe library includes a wide variety of algorithms developed to monitor and track activities that normally take place during the physically-active daytime hours. Now, the new sleep / wake detection algorithm automatically determines if a user is asleep or awake, without the user having to manually press a button.

“QuickLogic–s SenseMe Algorithm Library has been optimized to continuously track all activities throughout the day. With the addition of our new sleep / wake detection algorithm, wearable device manufacturers can deliver true and fully automated 24/7 data to their customers.” said Brian Faith, VP of worldwide marketing at QuickLogic.

Through the development of proprietary algorithms that rely only on accelerometer data, QuickLogic–s SenseMe algorithms deliver world class accuracy while minimizing power consumption.

The new Sleep / Awake Detection Algorithm is available now as part of QuickLogic–s extensive SenseMe Library. For more information about QuickLogic–s SenseMe algorithms, please visit .
