Carl Awarded Sixth Contract Within Western Washington for Its FlowWorks Application

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — (Marketwired) — 03/14/16 — Carl Data Solutions Inc. (CSE: CRL)(FRANKFURT: 7C5) (“Carl” or the “Company”), a developer of Big-Data-as-a-Service (“BDaaS”)-based solutions for data integration and business intelligence, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, FlowWorks Inc., has been awarded its sixth contract within Western Washington for Carl–s FlowWorks application (“FlowWorks”). The city can now integrate FlowWorks into its storm and wastewater management strategies throughout 2016. The name of the city has not been made public at the time of this release.

Western Washington is a region housing the state–s largest city, Seattle, and the majority of the state–s residents. Existing contracts within this region for FlowWorks include cities within King County, Clallam County, Whatcom County, Snohomish County and Pierce County. These cities serve the wastewater removal and treatment needs of nearly two-million residences. These open-ended contracts date back as far as 2010 and have grown to a total of 294 data collection sites throughout Western Washington.

FlowWorks is a powerful Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”)-based application for collecting, monitoring and analyzing environmental data. FlowWorks is flexible, affordable and easy-to-use compared to competing software packages. FlowWorks also has the unique capacity to collect data from any sensor hardware manufacturer, public data source (e.g. USGS, NOA, etc.) or private data source (e.g. historical record logs) and consolidate the information into one comprehensive analytics and reporting portal.

This flexibility allows clients to transform any raw data into actionable insights, offering real-time analysis, instant reporting and custom monitoring using a single application. FlowWorks is web-based, so clients can access their data anywhere at any time. FlowWorks offers an affordable, pay-as-you-go service so it can be used for shorter term or seasonal projects, risk free.

FlowWorks is routinely used for waste and storm water management and provides external data management, alarming functions, custom programing and analysis tools. The Event Finder analysis tool (the “Tool”) is highly utilized among Western Washington cities. This Tool allows users to effortlessly scan their data to identify important weather related events such as a sewer overflow, which could contaminate or flood local waterways and pose a serious threat to wildlife, residences and infrastructure.

FlowWorks– users can set alarms to directly notify their city departments when a sewer pipe is reaching capacity so they may make take necessary precautions and use that information to plan for future events.

Brian Lofquist, General Manager of FlowWorks Inc., commented, “FlowWorks Inc. is pleased to add another contract to its already strong presence in Western Washington. We–ve seen first hand how FlowWorks has helped in making more efficient use of the vast quantities of environmental data that these cities handle every day. Our tools and application features have been proven to enhance these cities– ability to service their storm and wastewater demands. In particular, many FlowWorks users have commented that the Event Finder has been a very useful tool for identifying various conditions; specifically, those that have caused overflows. We look forward to obtaining many more FlowWorks customers in Western Washington and throughout the state.”

Greg Johnston, CEO of Carl, commented, “We–re very pleased to be working with yet another city in Western Washington this year. This is a testament to the quality and utility of FlowWorks for environmental management. With the new features we–ll be adding to FlowWorks over the next year, we–re confident that FlowWorks will be able to better serve the region–s storm and wastewater management needs, which will in turn contribute to FlowWorks– already solid revenues. We have many prospective clients in this region and many more across North America that we look forward to announcing in the coming year.”
