ServiceSource Announces PowerSOURCE, an Employee-Led Community Service Initiative

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwire) — 08/12/11 — (NASDAQ: SREV), the global leader in service revenue management, is proud to announce its new worldwide, employee-led corporate social responsibility program, PowerSOURCE. The program was created and is managed by employees to interact, support and make a difference in their communities through volunteering initiatives in conjunction with The United Way. PowerSOURCE was pioneered by three employees in ServiceSource-s Denver office looking for a new way to engage with their communities and team members. Since then, the program has taken off as a global initiative throughout the company, with the San Francisco office successfully completing its first event on August 2, 2011.

“We started this project thinking of different ways we could reach out to our community that would utilize the strengths ServiceSource already has,” said Danyelle Overbo, inside sales representative at ServiceSource and co-founder of PowerSOURCE. “We have a strong camaraderie and spirit of generosity that I have never seen before. I knew if we just got started, the PowerSource idea would spread around the world very quickly.”

For the San Francisco group-s inaugural event, seventeen PowerSOURCE team members joined faculty members at John Muir Elementary School in San Francisco to help them clean, set up classrooms and prepare the administrative office for the new school year. The event was a success, and employees were able to help create a fun and clean environment for John Muir students.

“It was a fantastic experience to have the ServiceSource team help us prepare for our school year. We felt lucky to have such an energetic and helpful group of people at our school for the day,” said Chris Rosenberg, principal of John Muir Elementary. “Their help getting the building set up enabled our teachers to focus their time on building meaningful curriculum for the year rather than cleaning.”

The employee-run PowerSOURCE steering group selected The United Way as its national charity partner due to its effectiveness, presence in the communities ServiceSource operates in, and access to hundreds of local non-profits as well as a variety of volunteer opportunities for employees.
