NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 03/16/16 — Information Builders, a leader in (BI) and analytics, information integrity, and integration solutions, today announced that customer (BlueCross) would receive two awards at the , produced by IDG Enterprise. BlueCross is being recognized by the Digital Edge 25 Awards for its Partner Quality Portal, which enables the organization to identify and close gaps in member care. In addition, the company–s senior vice president and chief data and engagement officer, Sherri L. Zink, is being honored with a 2016 Computerworld Premier 100 Technology Leaders Award.
BlueCross is the largest health insurance provider in the state, with approximately three million members. The organization needed an efficient way to identify non-compliant and at-risk members to close gaps in care. Under the leadership of Zink, BlueCross worked closely with Information Builders to create its Provider Quality Portal, which identifies members who aren–t getting the care they need based on their age, health conditions, and other factors.
The insurer also worked with Information Builders to develop the Custom 360 analytics platform, which provides actionable clinical and administrative information to key stakeholders. An important element of the implementation included mobile BI applications and clinician/provider dashboards that facilitate campaign transparency, such as Medicare dollars distributed and spending allocations.
Since implementation, BlueCross has closed more than 422,000 gaps in care and generated approximately $3 million in savings.
