Seasoned Leadership Team to Drive Success for the New Salary.com

The company has welcomed back former executives Carol Ferrari as vice president, Marketing and Community, and Christopher Fusco as vice president, Compensation, while appointing Lyn Van Huben as vice president, Human Resources. Mark Szypko, who remained with Salary.com following its acquisition by Kenexa and later IBM, and reacquisition by the founding team, will continue to serve as vice president, Compensation Strategy.

These four appointments join Kent Plunkett, CEO and founder; Yong Zhang, COO, CTO and president of Global Operations; and Robert Merklinger, senior vice president of Sales, to round out Salary.com–s leadership team.

As vice president of Marketing and Community for Salary.com, leverages an extensive background to lead marketing, customer success and demand generation initiatives. Recognized by CRN magazine as a two-time Women of the Channel winner, she has designed and driven programs that have generated millions in sales while building awareness for company and product positioning. Prior to rejoining Salary, she served as vice president, Marketing and Inside Sales at AccuRev, where she rebranded the company and developed sales tools and sales training curriculum, and also as vice president, Marketing and Community at Intronis, where her strategies resulted in more than 50 percent growth. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in marketing, Ferrari earned her MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Regarded as a leading expert on employee compensation, has spent his career helping managers develop their employees through total rewards. As vice president, Compensation at Salary.com, he leads operations around compensation data, and runs the professional services team. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for compensation and HR services delivery at Draper Laboratory and served as manager of global compensation and HRIS at WR Grace. He has also worked as a compensation and benefits analyst as well as a senior rewards consultant at global advisory firms. Chris received a B.S. in human resource management from the University of Connecticut and an MBA in economics from Northeastern University.

As vice president of Compensation Strategy, is a customer evangelist and subject matter expert for Salary.com. He drives research on trends in compensation practices and leverages more than 35 years of HR experience to speak globally on compensation, benefits and HRIS topics. Szypko–s areas of expertise include compensation plan design, development and implementation, as well as sales, executive and base pay. Additionally, he holds expertise in international benefits, mergers and acquisitions, and HR systems selection and implementation, and has worked with numerous technology leaders including IBM, Comcast, Kronos and Honeywell. A recipient of the prestigious WorldatWork Lifetime Achievement Award, Mark holds an MBA from Western New England College and a B.S. in business administration from Suffolk University.

In her role as vice president, Human Resources, provides vision and leadership around people strategy for Salary.com while developing programs to meet changing business needs and achieve organizational effectiveness. An expert in all areas of human resources, including workforce planning, organizational development, employee relations, talent acquisition, succession planning, compensation and benefits, Van Huben has worked with numerous public and private companies throughout her career, such as Intronis, Aspect Software, Harte Hanks, Fannie Mae, Wildfire Communications and Bose. Through her work, she has driven the implementation of HR best practices and developed highly effective people strategies to position her organizations for continued success. Van Huben earned a B.S. from Rivier College.
