Puppet Appoints Deepak Giridharagopal as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect

PORTLAND, OR — (Marketwired) — 05/05/16 — , the standard for automating the delivery and operation of the software that powers everything around us, today named Deepak Giridharagopal its chief technology officer (CTO) and chief architect. In his new role, Deepak will drive the long-term technological decisions that will ensure Puppet is able to solve today–s and tomorrow–s business requirement of continually deploying and managing the software that underpins everything in the modern world. Deepak will also be deeply involved with the community in to help organizations adopt new technologies in production simply, reliably, and consistently.

Much of that work was critical to the massive increases in performance and scale that Puppet users depend on. He also helped grow engineering from a single dev team to a collaborative organization spanning teams around the world to build and ship what has become the industry standard for automating the delivery and operation of software.

Deepak–s appointment builds on other recent additions to Puppet–s executive team including (president and COO), (senior vice president of business and corporate development), and (vice president of product).
