CETECOM, the premiere wireless test and certification lab, has already been a long time member and an accredited NFC Forum laboratory at our location in Korea. In order to offer our clients an even more comprehensive set of SmartCard services as we already do, CETECOM?s laboratory in Saarbruecken (Germany) now becomes a NFC Forum accredited lab as well.
The NFC Forum is an ideal extension of our existing portfolio in (contactless) SmartCard testing and certification services in Saarbruecken, such as EMVCo, MasterCard, VISA and ePassport. Due to the strengthening entanglement of test requirements around mobile phones, driven by industry organizations like GSMA, GCF or PTCRB, the provision of NFC Forum testing services is an important additional product CETECOM is able to provide to its customers.
Furthermore, new approaches in the public transport sector focus on integration of existing technologies (e.g. contactless smart cards and associated reader devices) into mobile phones. In order to ensure compliance and interoperability, performing tests according to NFC Forum requirements is an important aspect, CETECOM is now able to cover.
This new accreditation again sharpens CETECOM?s global SmartCard service portfolio, which already offers a wide range of SmartCard services to our customers.
