Enterprises and New Market Entrants Feature at Datacloud Nordic

London/Stockholm 5th September 2016 – The 2nd Datacloud Nordic (www.datacloudnordic.com) meets in Stockholm October 20th bringing together IT infrastructure leaders and deal makers to capitalize on growing data centre and cloud opportunities across the region. As the event has grown, enterprises and new market entrants now feature among the expanding international audience.

International firms expanding their footprint in northern European markets will be assessing colocation, back-up and locations for new build data centres now highly available across the region, as well as the significant advantages ranging from tax relief on certain services through to an abundance of green energy, often with long term fixed priced contracts.

Connectivity is a key issue for enterprises assessing the Nordics, and will form an important topic in the programme. The regional status of subsea and terrestrial fibre is under review with further investment planned in connectivity to bolster international competitiveness.

New entrants to the European market will also be welcomed at the event. Megaport for example who have built the world’s first SDN-based neutral fabric for enterprise connectivity has now rolled out in 25 new markets, including Europe.

“Following our recent acquisitions of ECIX and OM-NIX, we at Megaport have found ourselves deeply enmeshed in the European market,” commented Denver Maddux, CEO, Megaport. “In a complex region such as this, I understand the importance in staying keyed in to regional trends. I look forward to listening to and learning what my peers at the Datacloud Nordic Conference have to say.”

Other new players at the event include the EUDCA who are set to become the premier representative group for all data centres across the European region, and the event will hear from the first public presentation by the new managing director, Nicola Hayes.

“Datacloud Nordic is the premier regional event to analyse and interpret markets and trends for data centres and the cloud services they offer,” said Gregory Gerot, managing director Europe of BroadGroup. “The explosion in enterprise demand drivers and disruptive technologies, as well as the financial perspective of investors in this ecosphere will be presented.”

Datacloud Nordic is the only regional forum and appeals to both users and outsourcers, to meet and network with companies from Iceland to the Baltics who are offering an exceptional platform of services and technologies to support them in the efficient management and distribute of their IT assets.

Targeted at senior executives in the data center, hosting and cloud industries, enterprise end users, investors, infrastructure and technology providers, Datacloud Nordic will deliver a rich and innovative programme of keynotes, panel sessions, workshops and product demonstrations offering a complete view of the market, its developments, new solutions, trends and innovations.
