ByteGrid Receives FedRAMP Ready Status

MCLEAN, VA — (Marketwired) — 05/04/17 — , which is dedicated to providing the most secure and compliant hosting solutions available, has been awarded “FedRAMP Ready” status by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).

“We are pleased to announce this achievement as we continue to add to our capability in delivering a highly secure and regulatory compliant set of products and services to our customers. This is just one more example of ByteGrid–s commitment to serving our customers– requirements and going the extra mile in protecting their systems and data,” said Michael Duckett, Bytegrid CEO.

The FedRAMP Ready designation is granted to cloud systems that are ready to begin the FedRAMP Security Assessment Framework — a comprehensive three-step process that helps ensure confidence in cloud solution security and the consistent application of current security practice.

“The FedRAMP Ready designation shows that our proprietary quality management system is an appropriate foundation for secure, FedRAMP-compliant cloud hosting,” said Rebecca Santorios, Vice President of Governance, Risk and Compliance at ByteGrid. “It–s rewarding to see how well our quality management system helps us meet tough regulatory requirements time and again. Thanks to our processes, we already had the necessary policies, procedures, training and infrastructure in place to meet stringent FedRAMP requirements. As we move forward, we are confident that our proven compliance framework will continue to withstand FedRAMPs rigorous authorization process.”

A government-wide program that utilizes a standardized “do once, use many times” approach to security assessment, authorization and monitoring for cloud products and services, FedRAMP works closely with cloud and cybersecurity experts from the National Institutes of Standards and Technology, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and other key government agencies.

The initial phase of the FedRAMP Security Assessment Framework employs a standardized set of FISMA-compliant requirements and utilizes a baseline set of NIST 800-53 controls to award security authorizations — a crucial step for which ByteGrid is well-positioned and well-prepared.
