Last chance for airports to register their IATA codes as aero-domains

The reserved 3-letter airport codes at http://www.domainregistry.de/codes.txt if unclaimed, would be released for registration as aero-domains since December 1st, 2008.

Codes which have already been registered as aero-domains, or which cannot be registered as a due to contractual obligations between SITA and ICANN will not be released as part of this process.

To date, over 150 airports, including Dublin (www.dub.aero), Las Vegas (www.las.aero), Geneva (www.gva.aero), Prague (www.prg.aero) and Sydney (www.syd.aero) have adopted this simple and memorable approach.

If you are an airport and have not yet registered your 3-letter airport code, make sure not to miss this exceptional opportunity.

This process will be done in parallel with the release of other reserved names.

The codes are listed 0 – 9 and alphabetically A – Z at http://www.domainregistry.de/codes.txt

By the way: Airlines can also register their two-letter industrial codes as aero-domains. Aero is one of very rare Top Level Domains, which permits the registration of two-character domain names.
