Finalists and Individual Winners Announced for Arizona Technology Council-s 2011 Governor-s Celebration of Innovation

PHOENIX, AZ — (Marketwire) — 08/30/11 — From a field of top-tier candidates showcasing advancements in Arizona-s technology sector, the , in partnership with the , today announced Individual Award winners and Company Award finalists for the awards. Winners will be announced on November 17, 2011 at the . Tickets for the prestigious awards gala can be purchased online at .

The winners and finalists were selected by a committee independent of the Council. Committee members included: Dr. Carol Baskin, Science Foundation Arizona; Hunter Bennett, OneNeck IT Services; James Goulka, ATIF (Arizona Technology Investment Forum); Dr. Mani Janakiram, Intel Corporation.; Ravi Kichloo, Avnet Inc.; Gordon McConnell, ASU Knowledge Enterprise Development; and Bob Witwer, Honeywell Aerospace.

This year-s event, with the theme of “Arizona Rising,” features the return of the Technology Showcase with over 50 booths, providing an opportunity for award finalists and sponsors to discuss and demonstrate their exceptional products and services to the over one thousand attendees. The night of networking, food, and entertainment includes a theatre-style format awards ceremony followed by a strolling dinner. A limited number of reserved sit-down tables with plated dinners are available for sponsors and for purchase.

The evening will include the presentation of the People-s Choice Lifetime Achievement Award to , executive chairman of the board of , Mr. Vallee will be recognized for his long-term vision.
