(NASDAQ: ADVS), a leading provider of software and services for the global investment management industry, today announced the appointment of Asiff S. Hirji to its Board of Directors. Mr. Hirji brings more than 20 years of experience in operations and technology within the investment management industry to Advent-s board.

Mr. Hirji has served as a Partner of TPG Capital, L.P., a global private investment firm, since April 2007. Prior to TPG Capital, Mr. Hirji was President of TD Ameritrade Holding Company, a publicly traded provider of securities brokerage services and served as Chief Operating Officer of TD Ameritrade from July 2005 until October 2006 and as Chief Information Officer of Ameritrade from April 2003 until July 2005. At Ameritrade, Mr. Hirji was responsible for developing and implementing all Information Technology initiatives, including business technology planning, application development, product development, information security as well as IT infrastructure and architecture.
From July 2002 until April 2003, Mr. Hirji served as Vice President, Partner, of Bain & Company and from July 2001 to June 2002, he served as president of Meralix, Inc., a firm specializing in turning around troubled portfolio companies for private equity funds. Mr. Hirji currently serves on the Board of Directors of Citrix Systems, Inc. Mr. Hirji holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Calgary, Canada and an MBA with honors from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
