Catenic supports Initiative for more Transparency in International Transfer Pricing

Unterhaching, 30 September, 2011 – Transfer pricing expert Heiko Kotschenreuther initiates the “Baden-Württemberg Transfer Prices Working Group” together with Catenic AG, the Munich specialist for financial management solutions. The Stuttgart Transfer Pricing Days from 4 to 28 October, 2011 form the initial phase, with daily rounds of discussion for companies from the greater region of Baden-Württemberg operating internationally. Included will be discussions covering current international transfer pricing developments and practical approaches regarding these issues. The aim is to enable finance and tax professionals to engage in regular exchanges of know-how and experience.

With the Stuttgart Transfer Pricing Days, the initiators of the successful Munich Working Group “International Transfer Pricing” (established 2009) have now launched a Working Group for transfer pricing in Baden-Württemberg. From 4 to 28 October, 2011, transfer pricing expert Heiko Kotschenreuther and the Munich specialist for financial management solutions Catenic AG invite professionals from the fields of finance, taxation, transfer pricing and controlling to daily discussions in the heart of Stuttgart.

The following topics will be discussed by the participants:
– Coordinating international transfer prices between tax, controlling, planning and IT departments – including practical examples.
– Licensing or transferring functions? Accounting for intangible goods and services at year”s end? Risk or opportunity?
– Exchange-rate fluctuations, foreign currency uncertainty and quantitative fluctuations – when must transfer prices be adjusted?
– Sharing experiences with transfer pricing methods in connection with company audits – Is Cost Plus out?
– Delineating boundaries on permanent establishments- News from the OECD – What should you do?

The aim of the Working Group initiative is to achieve more clarity in the ever more complex field of transfer pricing, in particular for companies and corporate groups operating internationally. Heiko Kotschenreuther will provide information about regulations and recent changes, and will suggest practical approaches, using numerous case examples from his more than 20 years of transfer pricing experience. In order to enable an intensive exchange of information and know-how, discussion groups will be limited to a maximum of 8 participants.

The Round Table meetings of the Stuttgart Transfer Pricing Days take place Mondays through Fridays, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m, at various locations in the center of Stuttgart. Participation is free of charge.
