Soundboard.com Scares Up Halloween Audio

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — (Marketwire) — 10/03/11 — Whether you need a creaking door, a maniacal laugh or a raging thunderstorm, the guys at Soundboard.com think they have you covered for this particularly spooky celebration.

“Traffic blows up in October and December,” says President Mike Fiol, citing Halloween and Christmas as the two holidays where visitors show up to fulfill specific audio needs.

“What-s a haunted house without all the scary sounds?” he asks. “Frankly, it-s just an old house.”

Launched in 2008, Soundboard.com is a user-generated audio library boasting nearly 400,000 sound clips in twenty categories — from travel to radio, history and games to, yes, holidays.

“Our size and scope has made us the go to resource for audio producers of all stripes,” adds Managing Director Mike Mitchell, pointing out that the site receives over three million page views and serves up almost 13 million tracks a month.

“It-s one thing to say -boo- and it-s quite another to hear an actual EVP of a ghost,” says Mitchell, referring to Electronic Voice Phenomenon recordings uploaded by ghost hunters to the site.

“That stuff gives you real chills,” says Fiol with a shiver. “Halloween or not.”
