Agiliance Receives “Strong Positive” Rating in Leading Analyst Firm-s IT GRCM MarketScope Report

SUNNYVALE, CA — (Marketwire) — 10/06/11 — ® Inc., the leading independent provider of Security and Operational Risk Management solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs, today announced that its platform received the highest possible rating, “Strong Positive”, in Gartner-s report titled “MarketScope for IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Management”(1). A “Strong Positive” rating indicates that a vendor is viewed as a provider of strategic products, services, or solutions; customers continue with planned investments; and potential customers consider the vendor a strong choice for strategic investments. Agiliance was one of 13 vendors evaluated in the report.

Agiliance is at the center of a fast growing software segment. According to the 2011 IT GRCM MarketScope report, “Gartner estimates that the software license revenue for vendors that met our criteria for inclusion in this MarketScope was $198 million for 2010, and we project a growth rate of 40% for 2011”. Agiliance has kept step with this growth and its Agiliance RiskVision Release 6 in May 2011 provides a real-time way to manage enterprise risks by making them visible, measureable, and actionable, integrating top-down and bottom-up risk management outlined in the report.

“Agiliance is proud to have received the highest possible rating in Gartner-s IT GRCM MarketScope. We believe this recognition reflects our comprehensive coverage of all eight IT GRCM capabilities,” said Joe Fantuzzi, president and chief executive officer at Agiliance. “Agiliance RiskVision is not only automating IT governance, risk, and compliance programs, but uniquely is helping cyber organizations manage advanced persistent threats and insider leaks by orchestrating risk classification, business criticality, mitigation, and investment actions across heterogeneous security and IT operations.”

According to Gartner-s 2011 IT GRCM MarketScope, authored by Gartner vice presidents and distinguished analysts Paul Proctor and Mark Nicolett, “the IT GRCM market benefits organizations that wish to automate and improve existing processes for measuring, managing and reporting IT controls that are ready for automation.” The report also captures a new market trend that “puts greater emphasis on technology-related requirements, such as integration and management of automated control data (vulnerability management, security configuration data).”
