Poynt Adds Extensive Local Search Coverage in Spain With Paginas Amarillas

CALGARY, ALBERTA and MADRID, SPAIN — (Marketwire) — 10/13/11 — Poynt Corporation (the “Company” or “Poynt Corp.”) (TSX VENTURE: PYN), a leading provider of mobile local search services, and the Spain-based local business search company, Yell Publicidad (“Yell”), are pleased to announce the availability of Paginas Amarillas, the Yell directory listings information for Spain, in the Poynt application (“Poynt” or the “App”).

Poynt is a convenient and timesaving GPS-enabled application that connects consumers to local businesses, people, restaurants and movie theaters at the exact moment they want to buy or acquire products or services. Poynt gives consumers the ability to move beyond discovery of their local area to view movie trailers and showtimes, view directions on a map, click-to-call the business or view their website.

Yell is the leading online yellow and white pages directory in Spain with over 6.6 Million unique views online per month. Yell search results are now integrated into Poynt and delivered to users- mobile devices based on their location and whenever a keyword or category query for local businesses, people, or restaurant information is performed.

“We are committed to partnering with the most relevant data partners and are very pleased to be offering Yell data to our Poynt users in Spain,” said Andrew Osis, CEO, Poynt Corp. “The addition of the Yell listings strengthens our business, people and restaurant searches, providing even more relevant information to people on the go thus leading to higher potential user retention and increased search queries which may result in higher Company revenues.”

“This agreement strengthens Yell Publicidad-s online strategy to improve users- experience and enhance advertisers- visibility, so we are delighted to integrate our content into Poynt Corp.-s successful mobile application,” said Ana Garcia Fau, CEO of Yell Publicidad.

Poynt is available as a free download for users in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Australia on Android, iPhone, Windows Phone and Nokia devices, along with BlackBerry smartphones and BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, from the respective App Stores. Poynt is also available via Over the Air download from your mobile browser at m.poynt.com.

Poynt provides contextual and relevant advertising to users performing local queries and its revenue model is based on user queries, page views, advertising and transactions within the App. Each user query generates several page views, which are monetized through display advertising and sponsored listings paid for by advertisers. These advertising placements generate revenues on a cost per thousand impressions (CPM) basis or on a cost per click (CPC) basis. Transactions, such as ticket sales and restaurant reservations, also contribute to revenues on a fee for service basis.
