Pontiflex Unveils Industry-s First International Signup Ad Platform

BROOKLYN, NY — (Marketwire) — 12/02/11 — , the industry-s leading mobile signup ad platform, today announced the release of . The new SDK provides developers based in the U.S. with the ability to serve country-specific ads in local languages, and enables them to tap into the exploding worldwide mobile advertising market.

International demand from consumers for country-specific deals and offers spurred the development of the new AppLeads International SDK. Over the last few months, Pontiflex received more than one million requests from international consumers asking for country-specific signup ads. The majority of the signups were from Asia, Western Europe, Latin America and Canada. As a result, the Pontiflex AppLeads International SDK focuses on these regions first. Additional regions and languages will be available in the near future.

According to a recent , worldwide mobile ad spend will reach $3.3 billion in 2011. Asia Pacific — where Japan and South Korea account for about 95 percent of mobile advertising spend for the region — is forecasted to account for 49.2 percent of global mobile advertising spend in 2011, and 33.6 percent of the global market in 2015. Additionally Western Europe will account for 25 percent of the global market by 2015. These trends map to the momentum Pontiflex is also experiencing in those regions.

Major international advertisers are already signing on, including the largest daily deals site in South Korea. Additional advertisers in key regions include: Spain-s , the premier online marketplace for gourmet items; Latin America-s , a leading daily deals site in Argentina; and , a resource for new and expectant parents.

Utility app is an early adopter of the Pontiflex AppLeads International SDK. Where-s My Droid enables users to locate their Android phone if it is lost and the ringer is turned off. The app has consistently made average CPMs of $17 in the U.S. using Pontiflex. Additionally, 25 percent of Where-s My Droid-s downloads are from Asia and Western Europe. Given that a quarter of the app-s user base was not being monetized, Where-s My Droid integrated the new Pontiflex AppLeads International SDK to tap into the international demand for signup ads.

“We chose to integrate Pontiflex AppLeads into our application because of Pontiflex-s great user experience, high eCPMs and the ability to run alongside Google AdSense,” said Brad Degelau, the 19-year-old creator of Where-s My Droid. “In a very short time, Pontiflex AppLeads provided an incredible source of income for me, allowing me to quit my day job at Walmart and focus on my role full-time as an app developer.”

As in the U.S., consumers around the world will be able to sign up to hear from the advertisers they like in a 100 percent opt-in way, without leaving the app via Pontiflex AppLeads.

“Mobile advertising spend is booming both in the U.S. and globally,” said Zephrin Lasker, co-founder and CEO, Pontiflex. “With the new release of Pontiflex AppLeads International SDK, developers can connect to consumers across the world, make more money and keep their apps free.”

Pontiflex powers a new kind of mobile advertising platform: signup ads.

With signup ads, people can opt in to hear from the brands they like without leaving a mobile app or website where they are engaged. Advertisers pay only for valid signups — never for wasted clicks or impressions.

Whether it-s moms who join Kimberly-Clark-s HUGGIES loyalty program, pet lovers who want to help animals with the ASPCA or people who want personalized books from small businesses like Paper Hat Press, millions of people use signup ads every day to connect with their favorite brands and organizations.
