SolidFire Deepens Block Storage Support Ahead of OpenStack Summit Hong Kong

HONG KONG, CHINA — (Marketwired) — 11/04/13 — , the leader in all-SSD storage systems designed for next generation data centers, today announced expanded integration leadership and deeper ecosystem support within . With the latest Havana release, SolidFire continues to deliver the deepest and broadest support for the OpenStack Block Storage project. Delivering complete API support for all of the latest block storage functionality included in Havana, newly supported features in this release include volume extension capability, more flexible volume/tenant management features and a Cinder backup service option.

SolidFire has validated interoperability between the Mirantis OpenStack platform and SolidFire-s OpenStack Block Storage (Cinder) Driver. The two companies will build off this initial effort with enhanced integration in future Mirantis OpenStack releases.

Through deeper integration efforts customers can now seamlessly provision SolidFire-s block storage directly within the Nebula One compute platform.
