MultiTouch Demonstrates New Interactive Touch Display Products and Applications at CES 2013

NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwire) — 12/19/12 — MultiTouch Ltd., the world leader in interactive display systems, today announced the showcase of its new touch display products and applications at CES 2013, taking place in Las Vegas, in central hall, booth #14246. Live demonstrations will include the world-s first Ultra-Thin Bezel multi-touch screen, the first large format integrated Windows 8 interactive display and prototype of 55″ embedded Android touch display.

MultiTouch-s showcase of the world-s first Ultra-Thin Bezel multi-touch screen will highlight the unique features of its MultiTaction® technology. Consisting of six MultiTaction 55″ UTB displays that run a custom made MultiTaction experience application, it demonstrates MultiTouch-s patented Computer Vision Through Screen (CVTS); simultaneous touch, IR pen and object recognition, as well as 200+fps tracking.

The company will also demonstrate the first large format integrated Windows 8 touch display to show the versatility of the operating system on different platforms. The same applications that can be run on smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs, can now run on MultiTaction displays using native Windows 8 touch drivers, including simultaneous support for touch and IR pen as well as finger orientation information.

“The world of MultiTaction has expanded to horizons that no one else in the market can match,” says Timo Korpela, General Manager of MultiTouch Americas. “The native support for Windows 8 and Android will allow for unlimited number of off-the-shelf applications to be run on MultiTaction displays, providing a long-sought addition to the available hardware platforms for application developers.”

All MultiTouch demos at CES 2013 are managed and monitored by the new MultiTaction Site Manager remote management software that scales up to thousands of geographically distributed interactive displays. Part of the MultiTaction Management Suite, Site Manager is designed for large deployments of interactive displays, providing real-time access to control the content and applications of each display individually or as groups.

Other highlights of MultiTouch booth will include:

Interactive Music Table by CAVI. The CAVI Radartable features advanced object recognition in the form of user controlled instruments and samples that can be placed on a MultiTaction display to create musical masterpieces.

Hybrid Tracking on MultiTaction displays. Designed for bright lighting conditions, Hybrid Tracking embraces external ambient lighting by combining the IR shadows created by the light with the reflections generated by the display-s own IR emitters.
