Crossroads Systems Releases End-to-End Archive

AUSTIN, TX — (Marketwired) — 04/08/13 — Crossroads Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRDS), a global provider of data archive solutions, today announced general availability of StrongBox VSeries. The Crossroads StrongBox NAS appliance is now paired with the StrongBox VSeries tape libraries for a complete and integrated archive solution.

StrongBox, a shared storage solution purpose-built for data archival and preservation, harnesses the power of Linear Tape File System (LTFS) technology and intelligent storage architecture with standard file systems (CIFS/NFS) to empower online, all the time file availability with uncompromised data protection, full data mobility, non-proprietary file storage and dramatic cost-savings.

With the release of StrongBox VSeries, organizations can now integrate StrongBox alongside one of three tape library models for a complete data archive solution that costs just pennies per gigabyte. Crossroads is offering convenient solution bundles, providing a streamlined way to purchase and deploy the StrongBox archive solution.

The StrongBox VSeries is available in three bundle options:

2U form factor with 24 slots and 2 LTO6 tape drives (Max 2 drives)

4U form factor with 48 slots and 2 LTO6 tape drives (Max 4 drives)

8U form factor with 96 slots and 2 LTO6 tape drives (Max 4 drives)

All VSeries bundles include the StrongBox archive with advanced software modules, including reporting/analytics, data protection, data integrity and enhanced security. Also included are:
