SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwire) — 08/30/11 — Keiretsu Forum, the world-s largest angel investment community, announces its members- investment in Hive Media, the San Carlos-based social media gaming company whose products allow fans to “live” their favorite hit movies, television shows, or brands by experiencing the characters and situations within a parallel game world.
Hive Media received funding from Keiretsu Forum members of the San Francisco Bay Area chapters and along with investors from The Angels- Forum, Band of Angels, and Golden Seeds raised a total of $1.5M. The funds will be used toward the development of their upcoming game based on the television show Animal Planet and to grow their already-released game based on the television show Deadliest Catch.

Hive Media-s approach leverages the easy access to players provided by Facebook to attract fans of the popular television shows featured in their games.
