HubPages Announces a New Partnership Program With eBay Partner Network

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwire) — 10/05/11 — HubPages today announced a new partnership with the eBay Partner Network, Inc. Starting today, HubPages community members (Hubbers) will be able to join the eBay Partner Network directly through HubPages, providing them the opportunity to earn money based on activity that occurs on eBay.com through referrals originating from their Hubs. This opportunity opens a new avenue of monetization for the HubPages community as a whole.

“At HubPages, we are constantly committed to making sure that HubPages is the most rewarding place to publish what you know and love. Earning an income is an important part of top writers- decision to publish on HubPages, so we-re always looking for new opportunities for our writers to earn from the traffic they build to their high-quality Hubs,” says Paul Edmondson, CEO of HubPages. “We are very pleased to announce our partnership with eBay, which will enable many HubPages writers to recommend related eBay products and earn through the eBay Partner Network platform.”

The new monetization opportunity is available to Hubbers who have published Hubs and participate in the HubPages Earnings Program. After sign-up through HubPages, who will facilitate approval from the eBay Partner Network, writers will need to add relevant eBay Capsules to their Hubs. HubPages will track referrals from individual Hubs that lead to transactions on eBay, and the individual earnings will accrue into the writers- HubPages Earnings Program balance.

This partner program comes shortly after the launch of HubPages- Ad Program that gave HubPages writers access to the premium ad rates that had so far been restricted to giant publishers. The offering was the first time that any online writer was able to access significant advertising revenues, as available via premium advertising networks and direct sales, while retaining all rights to their own content.
